We had a perfect vantage point to
watch the fireworks in Sitka, shot from across the Sitka Channel from the
marina where we were staying. A
beautiful night, people brought their blankets and chairs to view the display;
boaters honked their horns and others in the community shot off their own
fireworks. The community parade held in
the afternoon was lots of fun with various organizations represented in the
parade and lots of candy for the children.
