False Start

Working in the Engine Room
We departed Seattle from Elliott Bay Marina in early May and headed north to Anacortes, Washington, which proved to be an important trial run.  After a routine check of the engine room, we discovered a small fuel leak on the port engine and got on the phone with MER Equipment of Seattle, the mechanics and dealers for John Deere engines.  After describing the symptoms, MER ordered the necessary fuel line which arrived the following day, the same day we returned back to Seattle.
Fuel Lines
A mechanic from MER met us at the marina and helped us install the necessary fuel line.  We can’t say enough about MER’s excellent service and expertise, they are always ready to help by phone or in person.  After a trial run in nearby waters, we found that a second fuel line was weeping and decided we should have this line replaced as well.  Each engine has four fuel lines, one for each cylinder.  Once again, MER Equipment came to the rescue with a quick turnaround for the part and installation.  "Ship-shape," Got d’ Fever was ready to head out to sea.
